Collaborating and creating flow.

Conventional adaptive e-learning system solve one-size-fits-all problem by introducing methods of personalization. Nevertheless students still work independently and do not use benefits of collaborative learning and provide only limited or no feedback at all.

Collaborating and content creation flow as a part of interactive and adaptive e-learning process allows students to collaboratively solve learning tasks and contribute to the learning content. ALEF framework addresses these issues by implementing flexible annotation framework as a part of collaborative content creator.

We use annotations as a mean to both collaboration and content creation. From collaboration standpoint, students insert annotations directly into a learning text, which are visible to other students immediately after inserting. Teacher can reply to annotations resulting in extensive discussion regarding a learning content.
